Hai vợ chồng nhà nọ ngồi đọc sách. Một con muỗi cứ vo ve xung quanh ông chồng.
Vợ thấy vậy thì trêu:
- Anh không chịu tắm rửa gì hết nên đến đâu côn trùng theo đến đó.
Người chồng cười.. ruồi:
- À, bởi vì con muỗi này nó nhớ lời Khổng Tử đấy.
- Lời gì?
- Phải "gần quân tử, xa tiểu nhân"!

A couple was sitting on the sofa together, reading books. A mosquito kept hovering around the husband.
The wife teased:
- You don't shower enough, that's why insects are attracted to you.
The husband grinned:
- Ah, it's because this mosquito follows what Master Confucius said.
- What did he say?
- He said, "Stay close to a great person, steer clear of the little people."
